How to do it

  1. Pick one moment of the day you want to see come — not your whole life, one scene.
  2. Write it in the past or present tense, first person, with details you could touch: the light, the sound, what you are wearing.
  3. Stop when you feel it. One page is enough; three true lines beat a lukewarm page.

Why it works

The brain is poor at telling what it lived from what it imagined precisely. Writing a scene in the past tense gives it a memory in advance — and we conform to memories without effort.

In Manifesti

In Manifesti every scripting is a dated entry you can reread from the practice overview. Attach it to a vision and it shows up under “Your rituals” on that vision’s page.

Frequently asked questions

Past or present tense?

Both work. The simple past is the most natural — “I signed”, “I received” — because it is the tense of a story.

How long?

Five to ten minutes. Scripting is not a diary: you stop when the scene is there.
