How to do it

- Say what you want, without bargaining and without justifying yourself. Then say thank you — for what is already here.
- Sign it. A letter has an author.
Why it works
Putting a request to someone — even to no one — takes it out of the fog. What is written to an addressee is more precise than what is brooded over, and precision is what acts.
